The atmosphere at Furaha Guest Lodge is something truly special. It feels like a hidden gem, a place where every detail is crafted to make guests feel welcome and relaxed.

I drove in heavy rain and the navigation directions led me to an open veld in Bertrams. Realizing I was lost, I called Furaha in good time for assistance, but unfortunately I was unable to get the help I needed and had to book alternative accommodation at my own expense. What disappointed me most was not only the refusal to refund me, but also the attitude in the responses I received. I was told that I should have been somewhere else and not in Johannesburg, and there were references made to the number of guests accommodated before me. I found those comments irrelevant to the issue I was raising. My concern was simple: how do you assist and treat a guest who is genuinely lost and struggling to locate your property, especially under difficult weather conditions? Unfortunately, I did not feel supported as a customer. Based on this experience, I would not recommend or use this accommodation again.
